Use warm for stiff, sore muscle and joint pain, arthritis pain, muscle spasms, muscle strains, headaches/migraines, tension, fibromyalgia, chills, menstrual cramps, cold feet and hands. Warmth improves flexibility of tendons and ligaments and increases blood flow to the area being treated providing proteins, nutrients and oxygen for better healing.
For maximum benefit, apply muscle balm prior to use. For moist heat, layer a damp cloth against skin and under the warmed Comfort Pack. Microwave on high 1 minute, test and repeat to desired warmth. Do not overheat or leave unattended while being warmed.
For cold therapy, freeze several hours wrapped in a protective cloth. Use cold to ease swelling or inflammation due to overuse, sport injury or acute injuries or trauma such as sprains or to cool down on a hot day.
